Kaleidoscope Coaching with Andi Clark & the Green Bay Packers Connection

Growing up in Wisconsin, I have been a Green Bay Packers fan for as long as I can remember! The coach I followed and admired for many years was the iconic Vince Lombardi. It was clear the Green Bay Packers were winners because of their coach. As I watched the Packers week after week, I realized Coach Lombardi was a leader who was respected by his team. Win or lose, the team knew he had their backs.  

One of my core tenants is how words matter and specifically the impact a coach’s words can have on a team. When I was a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), my clinical team had 8 months to implement an important new program companywide. This meant educating the teams in 70 skilled nursing facilities. As the clinical team and I met to formulate a strategy to accomplish this goal, I realized creating a coaching strategy would help emphasize the importance of the new program and generate excitement with the facility teams. The region teams were able to work with the facilities as their coach and partner with them to successfully roll out the new program. All 70 facilities were able to implement the new program in the 8 month timeframe as a result of my strategy.
